In my travels I drew notes on many Roman constructions: among these, in Rimini, simple but fine and beautiful at the same time, the Tiberius bridge then became the model for a bridge in Vicenza, the one over the Tesina river to the east of the city.

The construction of my only bridge in masonry and stone, for the tabernacles leaning against the pillars, was directed by Domenico - I mean Groppino - friend, pupil, collaborator, master builder, then architect and Olympic Academician with me and our mutual friend and colleague Giovanni Antonio Fasolo, the painter.
