Twenty years after that Palace about which I had reasoned so much with Iseppo da Porto, one of the greatest men in my Vicenza, it was the turn of the villa.
I was now over sixty years old, I was the first architect of the Republic of Venice, it can be said that I was now famous.
Iseppo wanted a grandiose villa, with an enormous patrician colonnade like that of the Pantheon, thirteen meters of pure power. Under other lower curved arcades they would have connected the different buildings, in a monumental and extraordinary residence, if I had had the opportunity to complete it.
Both Iseppo and I died together, ten years after starting the project, eight years after the start of construction that brought us both back to the youthful grandeur of those visions of ours.
